About Errol Hassell

Errol Hassell Elementary School opened in the fall of 1979.

The school was named in honor of Errol Hassell, who served as superintendent of the Beaverton Elementary District from 1948 to 1960 and as deputy superintendent of reorganized District 48 from 1960 until his retirement in 1975.

Errol Hassell School serves the community not only as an elementary school but also as a center for the community; our playground and fields are in constant use by our families and sports teams and our building is used for community gatherings as well as our many school activities.

We are also lucky to have children of former students attending Errol Hassell!
